Please read further below for detailed Covid-19 Safety Measures -

Running over old military roads, cleared tracks through ancient woodland and grassed paths around the country estate. The route includes a few hills to offer a small challenge around the course in the most scenic countryside as well as the forest & past the lake. Look out for the Longhorn Cattle of Thoresby Estate, who usually roam free in the forest, in their restricted fields for the race.

We are also offering a 5k run / walk for all levels. It's a different course for 2020 that takes you past the beautiful church at Perlethorpe, through woodland groves & back onto the main field in front of Thoresby Hall. This event can be a gentle stroll with the family or a race to get your 5km PB. The 5km race is 2 loops of the course.

5k 2020 update  - Since March 2020 the small private village of Perlesthorpe closed itself off to the public & they have not re-opened & so we are not allowed to access these areas. This means that we have designed a new 2-lap 5k route taking you through a rare treasure; The Walled Garden & past some familiar scenic paths near Perlesthorpe Church. Marshals will guide you on the course. Please do not try to access the course before race day as it includes private areas of Thoresby Park.

Canicross entries & Nordic Walkers are very welcome. Please ensure you enter under the specific category you wish to be with. Seperate cx start times to help avoid congestion and over taking. Canicross races are not under UKA rules & do not offer EA affilliated discount.

Free parking is located off Nethefield Lane and marked with our signs. Please allow up to an hour before your race start to collect your timing chip and race number.

BONUS TEAM RACE - As well as running individually you can team up with others as an extra bonus race! Your time can count towards a team race on the 10k & 10mile events. Teams should be made up of 3 people to participate. Trophies will be given for 1st team back but also spot prizes for 5th team & 10th team & 1 random prize so that the race is inclusive no matter how fast - or slow - you run! Register as team leader - name your team & others can sign up on your team by finding you as they book on. You will still get your individual chip time & place.

Start times; All runners will leave start line gradually & well spaced. We have amended start times slightly  - these are now FINAL.

Covid-19 Safety Measures

We are currently planning the additional measures required. Your safety & enjoyment of the day is our priority. This guidance will be updated regularly & emailed to all participants before race day.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE EVENT IF YOU HAVE NEW SYMPTOMS: THESE MIGHT INCLUDE A HIGH TEMPERATURE, NEW COUGH OR HAVE LOST TASTE/SMELL

Race Village will be expanded so that people gather with more space between runners. There will be separate start times for each distance. You will be encouraged to run the course with fastest runners going first to avoid mass overtaking - this is usual practice at our events. Runners will leave the start line in small waves to spread out runners but you can still run with friends (socially distanced - just don't hold hands!!)

THERE WILL BE HAND SANITISER STATIONS AVAILABLE ALL AROUND RACE VILLAGE & AT WATER STATIONS. PLEASE USE THEM AS YOU ENTER THE VENUE FROM THE CAR PARK & AGAIN AS YOU LEAVE. PLEASE USE THEM BEFORE & AFTER USING TOILETS. PLEASE USE THEM BEFORE & AFTER COLLECTION OF YOUR MERCHANDISE / T-SHIRTS ETC.

All race numbers will be posted out to you 7-10days before the race so there will not be a need for registration. T-shirts / buffs & merchandise will be collected on race day at the event.

Our charity bag drop will not be available in 2020. The car park is 350-500m from Race Village. Please be prepared to tie a race skin / hoody around your waist if necessary & to carry your own water.

There will be no trophy presentation after the races & trophies may be replaced by High St vouchers or discount codes which can be emailed out POST race.

There will be additional safety measures to maintain 2m distance wherever possible & we'd like participants to be patient & respectful of each other in carpark & at race village to keep everyone safe & work to government guidelines. More details of these will be outlined & emailed to all participants nearer the event date.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer pacers on this event as this would encourage larger groups of runners

We are very sorry but due to COVID-19 restrictions we cannot offer sports massage at this event in 2020. This service will be back in 2021!

Water stations will be on course for this event. Sadly we can't allow individuals to fill their own re-useable water cups as we prefer. Marshals (in full PPE) will fill water into compostable cups  & leave them on tables for you to collect. Marshals cannot hand out water directly to participants. Please dispose of the cups into giant waste bags nearby & 200m further up the course. HOWEVER we strongly advise you to bring your own water/ gels / snacks to this event.

Professional cleaners will be employed to spray toilets & wipe handles between each use at Race Village.
