2022 - Due to a decrease on participant numbers ( like all running events across the UK this year) the race numbers will be collected from registration on the morning of race day. Merchandise will be collected from Race Registration.

The 10k route is the same as well known 'The Longhorn' but in reverse. The 10 mile race is the 10k route with an extra 4 miles added through different parts of the ancient woodland. Half marathon is 2 laps of the 10k route with a pretty diversion on each lap to extend to distance.

We are also offering a 5k run / walk for all levels. The route takes you on some grass past the beautiful church at Perlethorpe, on tarmac through the village & back onto the main field in front of Thoresby Hall. This event can be a gentle stroll with the family or a race to get your 5km PB. The 5km race is 2 loops of the course.

Canicross entries & Ramblers / Walkers / Nordic Walkers are very welcome. Please ensure you enter under the specific category you wish to be with. Separate start times to help avoid congestion and over taking.

BONUS TEAM RACE - As well as running individually you can team up with others as an extra bonus race! Your time can count towards a team race on the 10k & 10mile & half marathon events. Teams should be made up of 3 people to participate.Times from all 3 runners will be added up for a total time. Trophies will depend on the race distance. They may be given for 1st team back but also spot prizes for 5th team & 10th team &  there's ALWAYS 1 random prize so that the race is inclusive no matter how fast - or slow - you run! Register as team leader - name your team & others can sign up on your team by finding you as they book on. You will still get your individual chip time & place.

CUT OFF FOR ALL DISTANCES

The Marathon will have an 7 hour limit to complete the course & we will ask participants to finish prior to their final lap if they will finish after 4.30pm. CUT OFF IS 3pm FOR ALL DISTANCES. After that you will not be permitted to continue another lap & we send an END RUNNER round the course to ask marshals to stand down & to ensure last participant returns safely. This is for your safety & to ensure course marshals can leave at a suitable time before it gets too dark.

For runners on the half marathon, marathon & Ultra's you will be able to leave kit bags under cover of a gazebo at race village so you can grab food, change of shoes, socks & any other kit you need every time you pass by (every lap).

2022 - Due to a decrease on participant numbers ( like all running events across the UK this year) the race numbers will be collected from registration on the morning of race day. Merchandise will be collected from Race Registration.

There will be hot food from Chuck Wagon & homemade coffee & cake from Sunshine Van. Bring your supporters & a picnic blanket if the weather is good & they can sit on the lawns by the hall to watch the event unfold & cheer you on (COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES MAY APPLY SO PLEASE KEEP A SAFE DISTANCES BASED ON THE ADVICE AT TIME OF RACE) .

Please note that tail runners were due to enter course at 3pm but based on entries this year in 2022 all runners & walkers should have finished approx 2pm/2.30pm so I've brought the tail runners in early. In future years we will aim to allow all runners until 3.30pm to finish their race - we want to be inclusive to all speed and abilities.
